Teacup Stories: Felted Scenes at Straight Farmhouse Museum
Spend a cozy evening creating a miniature felted scene inside a teacup. This beginner workshop will guide you through the basics of needle felting as you design a small, story-like setting, choose from a Mushroom Forest, Fairy Garden, Lavender Country Home & Field, or create your own.

About the event
Join us for a rather lovely evening creating your own miniature felted scene, nestled inside a delicate china teacup. This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for those new to needle felting, and you’ll be gently guided through the basics as you shape soft sheep’s wool into a small, story-like setting. Choose from a Mushroom Forest, a Fairy Garden, a Lavender Country Home & Field, or something entirely of your own imagining. Along the way, you’ll learn how to build a base for your scene and create the individual elements that bring it to life, such as tiny houses, mushrooms, and little creatures. Most of your piece will be completed during class, though you’re welcome to continue adding finer details at home.
