About the event
Is it felt… or is it a rock? In this playful workshop, it’s actually both! You’ll learn simple wet felting techniques to wrap colorful sheep’s wool around a natural stone, creating a surprisingly realistic felted rock. These soft stones make wonderful worry stones, desk companions, paperweights, or conversation pieces that delight anyone who picks one up expecting a rock but feels wool instead. Bring a smooth natural rock no larger than a small hand, and we’ll transform it together. The class fee includes supplies to make one felted rock, though time will likely allow you to make up to three. Extra materials will be available for $3-$5 each if you’d like to create more.
