Pysanky Gathering at Oddfellows: Wax, Dye & Create

Join us for a relaxed, open-studio-style Pysanky workshop, where you can explore the beautiful tradition of wax-resist egg writing at your own pace. This session is designed for those who are familiar with the basics or who enjoy hands-on learning with light guidance.   At the start of the class, I will introduce you to the tools and techniques used to write Pysanky, including how to use the wax, kistka, and dyes. From there, you’ll have the freedom to create your own designs on up to 3 eggs, following your own color sequences.  I will be available throughout the session to answer questions, provide tips, and offer guidance as needed.  All supplies will be provided, including eggs, wax, candles, and 11 dye colors. Design reference sheets will also be available for inspiration. Feel free to bring your own adult beverages and make it a fun, creative night out!
