About the event
Discover the creative possibilities of wet felting as you transform soft wool fibers into a beautiful piece of fiber art. In this workshop, you'll begin by creating your own felt "canvas" from raw wool using traditional wet felting techniques. Once your foundation is complete, you'll layer colorful wool fibers to design and create a unique felted scene. Most participants choose to follow along with one of several inspirational designs provided in class, such as landscapes, flowers, trees, and other nature-inspired artwork. You're also welcome to bring your own inspiration. This can be a favorite photo, an image saved on your phone, or printed reference.
As you build your artwork, you'll learn how color, texture, and fiber placement work together to create depth, interest, and visual impact. No two pieces are ever alike, making this a wonderful opportunity to explore your creativity while learning the art of wet felting.
