Lake Rocks Felted Soap!
Create three lake rock–inspired felted soaps using soft sheep’s wool and wet felting techniques. Shape and wrap wool over soap bars to capture the colors and textures of stones along Michigan’s shores. All materials included, no needle felting required. Ages 10 through Adult.

About the event
Bring a bit of Michigan’s lakeshore into your home with Lake Rocks Felted Soap! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll transform plain soap bars into two unique lake rock–inspired soaps, using soft sheep’s wool and wet-felting techniques. Each soap will capture the smooth shapes, subtle colors, and natural textures of stones found along Michigan’s shores.
Blend earthy tones, shape the wool, and create soaps that feel organic and authentic. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with three one-of-a-kind soaps that are both beautiful and functional. When the soap inside is used, the felted wool can be reused for small craft projects or decorative accents. Extra supplies will be available if you’d like to continue making more at home.
