About the event
Celebrate the season of love with a creative twist on the centuries-old art of Pysanky. In this special Valentine's-themed workshop, you'll use traditional wax batik techniques along with contemporary design ideas to create beautiful eggs inspired by hearts, flowers, friendship, love, and winter romance.
We'll explore both classic and modern wax and dye techniques while creating designs that range from elegant and sophisticated to whimsical and playful. Choose from a variety of Valentine's-inspired motifs, color palettes, and decorative patterns as you build your design layer by layer in wax and vibrant dyes.
Your finished eggs can be displayed on stands, arranged in decorative bowls, incorporated into seasonal centerpieces, or transformed into one-of-a-kind ornaments and keepsakes. We'll also discuss simple embellishment ideas, including beaded hangers and decorative display options.
